Wind Tunnel Test Engineer – Aero Department

2000/2003    SAUBER PETRONAS ENGINEERING – HINWIL - SWITZERLAND
2002-2003: Aero-track Engineer - Aero Department.
Using mainly WINTAX (Car data analysis), LAPSIM and Wind tunnel program (both in house software)
Aero support at tests and information feed back to Aero Department.
Aero Data analysis for Track Eng. and Aero Department.
Preparation of aero data for each test & race:
- Updating information in Simulation program from  wind-tunnel or car data.
- Simulating rear wing scan and analyzing ride height.
Correlation between track and wind tunnel data including car special measurements analysis:
- Floor and diffuser pressure analysis using pressure taps and pushrod measurements.
- Front wing loads analysis.
- Front and rear main plane pressure distribution analysis.
- Analysis of yaw characteristics.
Straight line tests organization and data analysis including:
- Ride height sweeps: Comparing car and model characteristics, creating aero-maps from car straight line data for Simulation program.
- Front flap angle sweeps: Comparing car and model, creating flap polynomials for Simulation program.

From August 2000 to December 2001: Design Office -  Structure Analysis Department
Using PATRAN/NASTRAN and CATIA for the development of composite and metallic components. Meshing, computing and analysing:
Suspension parts: wishbones, pushrods, track rods and rockers.
Front and rear wing assemblies:
- Optimizing weight and stiffness concerning aero-loads and FIA test.
- Deformable front flap project.
Rear crash structure: Optimizing weight for the FIA crash test, integration of dif-cover , optimizing stiffness for suspensions loads

1999/2000    PROST GRAND PRIX – GUYANCOURT- France
From January 99 to June 2000: Design Office -  Structure Analysis Department
    Using mainly PATRAN/NASTRAN(Linear Analyses) and CATIA.
Development of a carbon monolithic chassis (January to August 1999)
- Studied position and shape of reinforcements to improve stiffness and to optimize weight
- Computed with NASTRAN/PATRAN for FIA push test, crash tests, stiffness load cases.
Meshing, computing and analysing components for the AP03 (From August 99 to June 2000):
- Suspensions parts: Wishbones, Push-rods, Trackrods
- Front wing package: Main plane, pylons and flaps.
- Project of a deformable flap.
Lay-up definitions for carbon parts using CATIA.

1998    RENAULT - RUEIL MALMAISON - France
3 months:  Gearbox, Control and measurements department (Internship)
Studied oil and airflow on gearbox test bench, established correlation between oil and airtightness on gearboxes.

1996    CITROEN SPORT - VELIZY – France
4 months: Rally Raid – Chassis Division (Internship)
Analysed and researched welding methods and new steel to improve welded joint quality.
Static and dynamic testing on welded joints, metallographic studies
